PI_005 : Burst of Fall

Philippines has only two seasons - summer and rainy season.  So it's quite unusual having this kind of design released here - the Burst of Fall.

This was collected from Starbucks store at The Block, SM North EDSA, Quezon City last September 18, 2014.

TH001 : Elephant

Knowing someone residing in other country is such a bliss.  You could always ask them to grab something on your behalf.

So when I heard that my pamangkin's, Rainer, Roven and Arlene are coming home for a vacation from Hua Hin, Thailand last August 2014, I asked them to look for the Thailand special edition cards, the Elephant and Temple of Emerald Buddha 2013.

And they didn't disappoint me.  They got the Elephant - Thailand Special Edition! :)

PH001 : Pilipinas Eagle

Finally, it has landed! The first Philippine Exclusive Starbucks card is released.

When I learned that Starbucks Philippine will be releasing the first Starbucks card designed here in the Philippines, I got so excited and noted it in my planner.  And when the date came, syempre I made a point to drop by Starbucks store to collect my Pilipinas Eagle card.

The design of the Pilipinas Eagle has weaved banig on the background and features the Philippine eagle in blue and red colors with yellow outline – the color of Philippine flag.  It’s so nationalistic!  I also like the tag line they used for this card – A nod to our roots and great coffee!

This card was collected from Starbucks Ayala 6750 in Makati City on July 29, 2014 (its first day of release).

It's another card from abroad.

My pasalubong from Jason who went to Singapore last May 2014 for an official trip.  I was really delighted that he found this limited edition Singapore 2012 design.

PI_004 : Ice Cubes

The 6th design in my collection fits well the season of summer - time for cold drinks! This card was collected from Robinson's Ermita in Manila last May 2, 2014.

IT_002 : City Store

Learning from www.buckscard.com that there are more varieties of card design exclusively distributed in other countries makes the 'hunting' more challenging.  I keep myself updated with the designs released in other countries and friends going on trip abroad. I asked friends for favor to get at least one card for me on their trip.

This card, also known as 'Neighborhood', was bought by my officemate Rodney who went on a holiday vacation in Hong Kong in March 2014.

PI_003 : Thank You 2013

I actually bought two of this kind with the intention of giving it as send off gift to two of our casuals who had end of contract.  However, due to my desire to have this design in my collection, one of the cards ended up in my possession.  The good thing is the one who did not receive a card came back to our office for another contract.  So, I somewhat felt less guilty for not giving her this card.

This was collected from Starbucks Trinoma in Quezon City in March 2014.

The first card I ever purchased.  I collected it in Cebu City, Cebu last September 14, 2013 during an official trip.

IT_001 : Holiday Tree 2012

This card was given by Manang Belen as birthday present when we were in Siem Reap, Cambodia in 2013.  It was originally given by Manang Gidget (our cousin living in US) to her but she thought it could be more useful in my hands.

Christmas Surprise

Months before Christmas, I remembered telling my brother Mitchell how much I wanted to have a tumbler.  I did not expect that he would remember it and grant my wish on 2012 Christmas season.
